About Jane Gilgun

I like to laugh. I like witty people.  I write many kinds of things–essays, short stories, poetry, and creative non-fiction. My topics range from nature poetry, essays on human development and religion and public life, creative non-fiction based on life history interviews I have done, and short stories, mostly about Ireland.

My interests include my horses, Ellie and Finn, spending extended time in northwest Ireland, photography, gardening, being outside, and cooking. I have more than 200 videos on youtube on many topics such as horses, a series on the healing of a broken left ankle, landscapes and events in northwest Ireland, gardens in Ireland and the US.

  1. Hi, Jane,

I still have the information about the family museum in Northern Scotland, but, due to computer crashes, I’ve lost the history about the Gunnar invasion of the Orkneys and Gilgun family history.

When you have time, I’d appreciate another copy, please.

    Thanks,

    Michael
